IT ALL STARTED WHEN...

In 1987 Twayne Walker built the first Bee Hive assisted living home in Meridian, Idaho. The motivation behind this innovative idea was developed around the concept that the elderly deserve a clean and comfortable family setting in a home at an affordable price when they reach a point in life where they need assisted living care. Many homes then available did not provide a pleasant atmosphere where residents could live happily. To make matters worse, the cost of most facilities was out of reach for many of the elderly and their families. During the construction phase of the first assisted living home, there was so much interest shown by potential residents that many of them were ready to move in as soon as it was completed.
